Terms of service
In force from 25 September 2026. Service operated by KIPDEV SAS (see the legal notice).
1. Businesses only
AboveFold is a business-to-business service. By booking a slot or listing a site you declare that you act for the purposes of your trade or business. The service is not offered to consumers.
2. Advertisers
What is sold
A monthly turn in the rotation of an ad slot on a publisher’s site, at the price shown on the slot’s page. A slot may be shared between several advertisers (the maximum is shown before payment); one ad is drawn on each page view, every advertiser paying the same price. No number of views or clicks is guaranteed: the measured views shown describe the past.
Payment and renewal
Payment is made by card (or an equivalent method) through Stripe. The booking is a monthly subscription renewed automatically at the same price on its anniversary date. You stop it in one click from your campaign page; stopping takes effect at the end of the month already paid for, which keeps running. Applicable VAT appears on the invoice.
Going live
On an “instant” slot the ad serves as soon as payment is confirmed. On a “review” slot it serves once the publisher approves it. Either way the publisher may remove an ad unsuitable for their site; you may then edit it or ask for the current month to be refunded by replying to your receipt.
Ad content
You warrant that your ad and its landing page are lawful, accurate and yours to use. Forbidden in particular: unlawful, misleading, hateful or sexual content, unlicensed gambling, regulated products without authorisation, malware. AboveFold may suspend an ad that breaks these rules.
3. Publishers
The publisher sets the monthly price of their slots and how many advertisers share them. Each advertiser payment is collected on the publisher’s behalf through Stripe Connect: 60% goes to them, paid to their Stripe account; AboveFold keeps 40%, which covers payment and payout fees, serving and measurement. The publisher must not inflate their audience artificially (bots, reloads, incentivised clicks); fraud closes the account and the advertisers concerned are refunded.
4. Measurement
Views and clicks are counted by AboveFold’s tag: a view counts when at least half of the ad is visible on screen. This is a measurement, not a certification by a third party.
5. Liability
AboveFold connects advertisers and publishers and handles payment, serving and measurement. Its liability, for any cause, is limited to the amounts received for the booking concerned over the last three months. Downtime of a publisher’s site is not a fault of AboveFold; on request it entitles to a proportional credit.
6. Governing law
French law. Any dispute between businesses falls under the courts of Bordeaux, after an attempt at amicable settlement in writing to contact@getabovefold.com.
